What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your answers to the sixty questions | As you take the free assessment | Scored in your browser to show your results. Stored only if you go on to FFF Pro |
| Your email address, if you give it | On the free results screen, or by ticking the box when you buy FFF Pro | To add you to the Presentation Guru mailing list |
| Your name, email, answers and scores | When you ask for FFF Pro | To write your report and let you download it again |
| Your order: what you paid, when, and any refund | At checkout | To give you what you bought and to keep the accounts |
| Your programme code, if you use one | When you unlock with a code | To invoice your organisation for your seat |
| How you moved through the site | While you browse | Google Analytics, to see which pages work. Only if you accept cookies |
We never see your card details. Stripe handles payment on its own page and tells us only that it succeeded.
Why we are allowed to hold it
To give you what you bought. Your name, answers and order exist because you asked for a report. That contract is the lawful basis.
To email you. You join the Presentation Guru list only if you ask to. If you are already on it and buy FFF Pro, we note the purchase against your entry so we stop offering you the report. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To improve the assessment. We look at scores across everyone who has taken FFF Pro to check that the scoring still works. That uses the numbers, not the names.
To keep the accounts. HMRC requires us to keep records of what we sold.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information. These companies process it for us.
| Who | What they get | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Your email and the payment | Ireland and United States |
| Supabase | The database holding your name, email, answers and order | European Union |
| Vercel | Runs the site and the report generator | European Union and United States |
| Anthropic | Your first name and your scores, so the model can write three short passages of your report. No email, no individual answers | United States |
| Mailchimp | Your name and email if you join the list, and a note if you bought FFF Pro | United States |
| Google Analytics | How you moved through the site, if you accepted cookies | European Union and United States |
Where information goes outside the UK, it goes under the transfer terms the law requires. Nothing you send is used to train anyone's model.
How long we keep it
Your name, answers and scores: two years, so you can come back for your report. Then they are deleted.
Your order record: seven years, because tax law requires it.
Your place on the mailing list: until you leave it.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email jim.harvey@themessagebusiness.com. We will do it within a month, usually much sooner. The one thing we cannot delete is the order record, because HMRC requires it.
If we get it wrong
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
